I had the honour and luck to experience the HackTheBook event organized by the Onassis Culture Center in collaboration with Europeana Space Network at the Stegi 22nd – 24th of January.
The purpose of the event was to redefine the book and the participants used their skills and most importantly their imagination to do just that.
The teams worked during the weekend on some very innovative ideas using open data from Europeana and some of them using open hardware to implement their prototypes.
I am very glad that I was able to help the participants as part of the experts team and most specifically offer advice and practical help on Arduino.
Well done to the organizers and all the participants for all their hard work.

Είχα την τιμή και την τύχη να συμμετέχω στο HackTheBook που διοργανώθηκε από τη Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών σε συνεργασία με το Europeana Space Network στις 22-24 Ιανουαρίου.
Σκοπός της δράσης ήταν να επανασχεδιάσει το βιβλίο. Οι συμμετέχοντες χρησιμοποίησαν τις ικανότητές τους και τη φαντασία τους για να το κάνουν.
Οι ομάδες εργάστηκαν σε κάποιες πολύ πρωτοποριακές ιδέες χρησιμοποιώντας ανοικτά δεδομένα από τη Europeana και κάποιες από αυτές ανοικτό hardware για να υλοποιήσουν τα πρωτότυπα τους.
Είμαι ευτυχής που βοήθησα με τις γνώσεις μου πάνω στις ανοικτές τεχνολογίες και το Arduino.
Ευχαριστίες και συγχαρητήρια στους διοργανωτές και όλους τους συμμετέχοντες για τη δουλειά τους.
