For a pest-control system, we built a device, which reads the ambient temperature and humidity, in order to switch on or off a high-voltage generator, which is powered by a built-in battery. The battery is charged during the day by the integrated solar panel. During the night the internal micro-controller monitors the charge level of the battery as well as the weather conditions and enables or disables the high-voltage accordingly.
