This Wednesday, 21 September, we will provide our MAKERSPACE to host the τοlabάκι HackDay, which is held every third Wednesday of the month, to have fun, play with electronics and computers and probably order a couple of pizzas, as well!
As a subject of this month we suggest IoT with wireless nodes. We plan to play with the Espressif ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, which can be programmed also using the Arduino IDE. Throughout the last weeks, we have gathered some experience on how to connect them electrically, how to flash the firmware and how to use them as nodes of a wireless sensor network.
We have already set up a Domotics home automation system, which runs on a Raspberry Pi, and listens to connections from sensors connected with the ESP8266 to our local wireless network. We have various ESP8266 modules available in different versions from the plain ESP-1 module to the NodeMCU Amica USB-connected prototyping platform. 
My personal favorite is the two-PCB stack with the ESP-12F module.
Besides the ESP and IoT-related projects, the MAKERSPACE will of course be available to hack other projects as well![:el]Την Τετάρτη 21 Σεπτεμβρίου, φιλοξενούμε τοlabάκι HackDay, που γίνεται κάθε τρίτη Τετάρτη του μήνα, για να διασκεδάσουμε παίζοντας με ηλεκτρονικά, προγραμματισμό και μερικές πίτσες!
Επιλέξαμε να προτείνουμε σαν θέμα το IoT (Internet of Things) και πιο συγκεκριμένα να μοιραστούμε την εμπειρία μας με το Espressif ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, που προγραμματίζετε και με το Arduino IDE. Το τελευταίο καιρό έχουμε πειραματιστεί με αυτά από συνδεσμολογίες, flashing και τη χρήση τους σαν ασύρματους κόμβους.
Έχουμε έτοιμο ένα Domotics server home automation system, που τρέχει σε Raspberry Pi, και είναι έτοιμο να ακούσει ότι αισθητήρα συνδέσετε σε ESP8266. Στο εργαστήριο έχουμε αρκετούς διαφορετικούς τύπους ESP από το απλό ESP-01 μέχρι και το NodeMCU Amica USB.
Εκτός από αυτά το MAKERSPACE είναι διαθέσιμο και για hacking άλλων έργων!
