3D Printing with Various Materials

[:en]The last few weeks we have experimenting a lot with 3D printing and we finally had the chance to test some new and exciting filaments materials. We have successfully printed printed with the following:

NinjaFlex

Ninjaflex on T-shirt
Octopus, 3D printed from NinjaFlex on a cotton T-shirt.

NinjaFlex is a flexible and very strong material. We tried to 3D print directly on fabric and, as you can see in this image, we had some amazing results! Now we are experimenting with more complex shapes to 3D print directly of T-shirts and other textiles.

LAYWOO-D3

Business card holder from wood-filled PLA filament.

LAYWOO-D3 filament is made from a wood-polymer composite that makes 3D-printed objects feel and smell like wood.

LAYBRICK

LAYBRICK
Magic candle holder, 3D printed from ceramic-like filament.

Another composite filament, which has a sandstone-like feel and makes the 3D-printed object look like made from chalk or ceramic is LAYBRICK.

PETG

A modified variant of PET is a highly durable and very transparent material. When printed in spiral-vase mode, it works excellently as a light diffuser.

ABS, PLA

We have also produced some complex and high-quality 3D prints with the ‘classic’ materials, which are PLA and ABS.

Nylon

We have also been experimenting with nylon filament. But unfortunately we have yet to produce a high-quality 3D print to show you, since our filament has absorbed too much humidity, a common problem for nylon filaments. So it needs some drying out in order to produce good quality prints.

Nylon

Ενώ πειραματιζόμαστε και με νύλον αλλά δεν έχουμε καταφέρει ακόμα να εκτυπώσουμε σε καλή ποιότητα μιας και το υλικό μας έχει απορροφήσει υγρασία, ένα κοινό πρόβλημα για το νύλον, και θα πρέπει να το στεγνώσουμε πριν καταφέρουμε να τυπώσουμε σωστά.[:]
