When we found out that a hackathon about agriculture was about to happen in Heraklion – although we were already really busy – we couldn’t help but want to help.
Unfortunately, our contribution was only small, due to the little time available for us. We missed the great opportunity to actively work together with the rest of the participants. Eventually, the only contribution we could make was to provide our tools and quickly train someone how to use them. So, we took the Lulzbot TAZ 3D printer and our Shapeoko 2 CNC router down to the venue of the Agrockathon and showed the people how quickly they can shape their ideas into real objects. Even a scaled down object is still a powerful illustration and a great step to seeing your thoughts become reality.
We hope next time we will have the time to participate actively in the development of a prototype!
[:el]Mάθαμε ότι γίνεται ένα 
hackathon για τη γεωργία και ενώ ήμασταν αρκετά απασχολημένοι εκοίνο το διάστημα δεν μπορούσαμε να μη βοηθήσουμε. Για να είμαστε ειλικρινείς η προσφορά μας ήταν ελάχιστη λόγο της μη διαθεσιμότητας χρόνου από πλευράς μας, έτσι χάσαμε την ευκαιρία να εργαστούμε μαζί με τους υπόλοιπους. Έτσι το μόνο που μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε ήταν να διαθέσουμε τα εργαλεία μας. Πήραμε το Lulzbot TAZ 3Δ εκτυπωτή και το Shapeoko 2 CNC router στο μέρος που διεξαγώτανε το Agrockathon και δείξαμε στους συμμετέχοντες 
πόσο γρήγορα μπορούν να διαμορφώσουν τις ιδέες τους σε πραγματικά αντικείμενα. Ακόμα και όταν μηλάμε για μακέτες είναι σημαντικό να μπορείς να δεις τις σκέψεις σου να γίνονται πραγματικότητα.
